Broadcast to HTML5 devices

In order to have your LIVE stream played on mobile devices, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must have the ability to broadcast to mobile – as shown on the Premium Packages here: https://www.mystreamingvideo.net/manual/upgrade

2. You must use one supported Broadcaster for your Live stream. The only broadcasters that are supported for streaming on mobile devices are: HD Wave and Flash Media Live Encoder (requires AAC Audio Plug-in that can be downloaded from here)

Important: the only recommended environments are HD Wave or SD Wave. You may also stream LIVE via a 3rd party broadcaster, but these are not recommended by Streaming platform and time to troubleshoot is considered exploratory. In order for LIVE streaming to work as expected on mobile devices, encoder level value must be set to 4.1 (this rule applies to all compatible broadcasting tools: HD Wave, SD Wave, FMLE)

List of Unsupported Broadcasting Environments:

  • Web Based Flash Broadcaster (Streaming platform simple web broadcaster)
  • Mobile Broadcasters (iOS and Android)

A. HD Wave (SD Wave) broadcaster

After you have installed the HD Wave (SD Wave) broadcaster, run the application, select the video and audio source and the channel where you want to stream:

For more details on HD Wave broadcaster, check the manual chapter

B. Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder

Important: the video format should be H.264 and the audio format should be AAC – these are mandatory items.
